AN URGENT REQUEST FOR HELP TO: Visitors to www.7daysofcreation.net FROM: Brent and Anika Chrishon DATE: January 16, 2010
This Brent, Anika and Samuel Chrishon writing you from Maebashi, Japan. Back in 2006, the Lord put a desire in our hearts to serve as missionaries in the East. Brent enrolled in Wildwood College of Health Evangelism’s 6-month health evangelism course and started classes in January 2007. At the end of 2007, we accepted the call to serve the Lord as missionaries and English teachers in Seoul, South Korea. In 2008, we returned to America for about 8 months and served in various capacities at the Prattville SDA Church. During this time we also organized children’s programs at SDA churches, schools and officer’s meetings, while Brent worked as a literature evangelist.
Last year, we once again accepted the Lord’s call to serve Him in South Korea. We served the Dae-hwa SDA Church as Bible workers and English teachers. During this time, we held Bible classes for children and adults, and organized two Summer English Bible School Programs. As a result of the Bible studies, at the conclusion of the Summer Bible School Program, God answered our prayers and four young people gave their hearts to Jesus and were baptized, including two high school aged brothers. Praise the Lord!
After accepting an invitation to visit some of our missionary friends in Japan, we welcomed the New Year at Mount Akagi Institute, an SDA missionary training center in Maebashi. Considering that it was God’s providence that brought us here, we were praying to know His will - if we should stay and work with Mount Akagi Institute or return to America. Then suddenly, within the past week, all of the workers and their family members caught a very strong influenza virus, accompanied with high fever and chills. While God has miraculously preserved our entire family from getting sick, after much prayer, we felt impressed by the Lord to return and work for Him in America.
This most recent experience in the foreign mission field has lasted almost a year. Although we’ve dedicated our lives to the service of the Lord and the sharing of the gospel wherever we are, this dedication doesn’t come with the assurance of steady income or travel expenses. As a result, we are asking that you prayerfully consider making a generous donation to help cover our family’s return flight to America.
We are scheduled to leave Japan Wednesday, January 20, 2010. When we originally started looking for flights, the going rate was around $10,000 for our family of three. By the grace of God, we found an amazing deal, and now we are trying to raise only $4,000 to cover our family’s travel expenses. Please make your donation TODAY and help us to quickly reach our goal.
We would greatly appreciate any amount you feel impressed to share to help us reach our goal. Please make checks payable to WELLNESS IS NOW P.O. Box 87 Marbury, AL 36051 205-755-8934. If you would prefer to use a credit/debit card, you can click the button below and make a secure and safe online donation.
Thank you in advance for your donation.
